The reason for your hair going gray is related to the cells in your hair follicles called Melanocytes. These cells generate the pigment in your hair and is usually healthy during your youth.
• As you get older these Melanocytes start generating less pigment, giving the hair strand a slightly transparent appearance. These transparent hair strands against your darker hair makes your hair look gray.
There are medical conditions that can cause our hair to go gray as well. These can be due to a B12 deficiency or a thyroid condition.
In the skin of persons with psoriasis the amount of compounds causing inflammation is many times greater than normal. Fish oil inhibits the production of these inflammatory compounds. Fish oil improves the health of skin, nails and hair. |
